Himmler did smoke. You can see here his tobacco box, a present from Gõring. However, I’ve read he was very fussy with everything related to the hands. It annoyed him to see fingers stained with nicotine. Even in his subordinates. (Anyone, feel free to correct me if i’m wrong)
