"Himmler was such a coward he refused or was afraid to act because of Kaltenbrunner and Hitler."
- Walter Schellenberg, to Leon Goldensohn (12 March 1946)
"He was not a man who was hard-hearted in the sight of blood. He was hard-hearted by reason of a fanatic ideology. But he was undoubtedly soft and cowardly."
- Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski, to Leon Goldensohn (14 February 1946)
"I still lack to a considerable degree that naturally superior kind of manner that I would dearly like to possess."
- H. Himmler’s Diary entry (November 1921)
Another epic picture, but couldn’t find a better size of it…. Is that beer Himmler?
Himmler greets SS Sturmbannfuehrer and camp commandant Max Pauly during an official visit to Stutthof. (November 23, 1941), also, Himmler’s first visit to the Lodz ghetto. Lodz, Poland, June 5, 1941. (He’s in the codriver sit)
Yup, Check out H’s car number plate. It’s says “SS-1” .. haha, the RFSS is the number one :) …
I once read Folke Bernadotte saying that Himmler was very stubborn when it was about driving, he said that Herr Himmler prefered to drive his own car even during his last days of life, which is weird, I’ve mostly see pictures of Heinrich as codriver… not driving by himself… of course i believe he surely used to drive at times, but not always… Bernadotte also said Herr Himmler was very nervous and tired the day of their meeting that even he ran into the fence when he was parking his car. :/
Anyways, not sure if these has been already posted before, i’m really confused about it lately.
Last two pictures are really awesome… Karl Wolff is there too! :P
